Primary Harvest Festival

Key Stage 1 and 2 hosted a Harvest Festival in the Main Hall on Wednesday 8th October.

The emphasis was on local produce.

Children in Key Stage 1 sang 'See here our red apples', and 'Paintbox'. Children from Yellow group joined in with the Key Stage 1 rendition of 'Dingle dangle scarecrow'.

Children from Key Stage 2 sang 'The farmer gathers his hay', 'See the farmer', 'Oats, beans and barley' and 'One man went to mow'.

Each class produced pictures/prints/writing of specific fruits and vegetables.

There was a very impressive display of produce, which was donated to Irving House in Gloucester. Two representatives from Irving House attended the Harvest Festival.

It was lovely to see so many parents enjoying the celebration. Staff and parents enjoyed the opportunity to talk informally over refreshments.

Many parents also enjoyed the opportunity to visit their child?s classroom before going home.
