Find out more about 2Co
Teacher Angela Cooke
LSWs Mrs Sharon Hendy, Mrs Michelle Clarke
Over the last year, Class 2Co have enjoyed a range of visits around the locality, enjoying Cattle Country, Blooms, both Regent and Beechwood Arcades in Cheltenham, Nature in Art at Twigworth, Churchdown School Christmas party, Roses Theatre Pantomime in Tewkesbury and Churchdown School Curve Art Gallery.
We have enjoyed the sounds and experience of a visiting steel band, which everyone was able to respond to with smiles and dance.
Within the Key Stage, the children have participated in Harvest, Easter, Christmas, Diwali and Shabbat celebrations, enjoyed through music, singing and sensory experiences.
The children participate in integration, with other classes, through sport and play activities, and assemblies.
As a class, we organised, and ran, ?All the Fun of the Fair? day, where our children each had a stall to run, and the other classes were invited to ?come and have a go?! We had ?magnetic fish?, ?throw the koosh ball?, ?net a duck? and a huge bowl the ?tin can? shy. It was a very hectic, but fun, day!
Once again, in the autumn term, we have had a mini Enterprise scheme, within class, where we have made Christmas cards to sell to family and friends. This year, we will use the money to buy additional sensory equipment for us to use within class.
This year, we also managed to fill 24 Christmas ?Gift of Hope? boxes. Trinity Church, Longlevens, kindly collected the boxes from us, and delivered them to a regional warehouse, ready to be shipped abroad.
We look forward to linking with Key Stage 3, for some activities, during the year, in preparation for some of our class moving up to Key Stage 3 in September 2007.
