Cameras (paid for by friends) are now in school (28 and 5 additional from a company). Dave has to load software before they can be used and he is planning a training session on hw to download photos etc etc.

Treasurers' report.
Please see attached Treasurers report for Current account and Interest account information.
The money for the 28 cameras has not been taken in to account - this will be about £2,500 (£3,000 had been provisionally allocated).
After allocated money has been taken in to account, there will be £6809.79 available to spend.
Pat gave her thanks for the money given towards a theatre trip.
£3.00 per pupil will be needed for Christmas presents (£840)
Agreed to ring fence £3,000 towards ICT equipment.
Hilary Leigh has provided Phil with an estimate of costs for white boards, and peripherals such as extra switches, touch screen monitors etc. The cost was phenomenal - approx £87,000! Need to get some more quotes.
Phil spoke about an organisation he had been in contact with - they might be able to make a donation of up to £10,000. He will pursue.

Equipment requests
Mike requested money (a maximum of £300) towards KS3/4 trampolining for hopefully two classes. It was suggested that parents make a small donation towards the activity. Friends agreed to donate £100 as a top up to parent?s contributions.
It was decided to allocate a maximum of £300 per meeting towards general requests.
Recent events
Phil thanked everyone for all the hard work involved in the Summer Fayre. It was suggested that we make the main entrance through the gate next to the Rugby club field where people park their cars.
Stephen Dinning's online auction has raised a lot of money.

Fund raising
Rugby Club Car Boot Sale: Donation of £50 from Longlevens Rugby club for our assistance. Phil is hoping for a 50/50 split in their takings if we assist in parking arrangements at future events.
Phil's wife donated £65 from the Webb Ivory catalogue sales.

Future events
Discussed the possibility of the school holding some car boot sales. Phil will investigate the legal requirements, regulations, permissions etc.
Milestone Meander Sunday 24th September. Event to take place at Beechenhurst - start time, picnic at 12.00 midday followed by Meander. Little seems to have been done to organise this - Phil will speak to Dave to see how arrangements are going. Maria Heep will be back from holiday on Monday - need to check if she is able to be involved in arrangements. A collecting bucket or collecting tins will be circulated.
Rob Waters has indicated he will help organise a Quiz night when he comes back from his overseas posting.
Christmas function: Suggestion of organising a combined Friends/Staff Christmas disco. Phil will investigate a venue - possibly in January.
Music Evening - 1st December. Several people are already involved. Pat asked if the staging could be put up for the evening. Phil will help with some lighting. May have to apply for a licence to provide wine.
Christmas Fayre 25th November
Possibility of a Fashion Show was discussed - suggested date 16th October - Pauline will investigate and set in motion. £3 entrance ticket. Hope to involve some staff as models.
Jayne offered to run a Virgin-Vie night after Christmas - Lyn offered to help.

The next meeting will be the AGM to be held on 7th November 2005

Phil will place an advert in the local paper.
Dawn (Communications Assistant to put notice of AGM in Newsletter.

Thanks to everyone who gave up their time to attend the meeting.
Your support is appreciated.
