Meet the Friends of the Milestone
The school enjoys the support of a hard-working Friends Association comprising staff, parents and other loyal supporters.
This group raises considerable amounts of money to buy additional resources for the pupils and to contribute substantial sums towards school trips and Christmas festivities.
In addition, our minibuses were obtained through the fund-raising and public relations skills of our friends.
The Friends of the Milestone meet on the second Tuesday of each half term. Meetings are held in the Early Years Staffroom and start at 7.00pm.
The Friends organise several fund raising and social events during the year, including the annual Christmas Fayre in the late Autumn term and the Summer Fayre in July.
Money raised from such events is spent on the pupils throughout the school - helping to provide the special extras that help make their time in school really great.

Our most recent fundraising event was a fashion evening, held at school on 26th September 2005. The event was well attended.
At Christmas time, the Friends of the Milestone School provided £3 per pupil, to be spent on Christmas treats. During the Summer term, we also provide £3 per pupil to go towards a class trip or outing. Class staff decide on how this money is used.
