Speach and Language Therapists

The service provides assessment and intervention for those children with communication difficulties. This might involve special aids and strategies as an integral part of their school life. It also provides assessment and intervention for children with eating and drinking difficulties. Pupils are assessed at all levels for an appropriate means of communication, including augmentative systems, signing, symbols, and electronic aids.
Therapists are very much part of the everyday life of our school, and they have a large and very important role to play. The school works in collaboration with the Gloucestershire NHS PCT, to ensure the best care possible for its pupils.
